New Photo Challenge-inspired poem, “What the Mountains Did for Them in 1942— click, read, comment, many thanks.

News:  On Monday last I sent out five queries to Literary Agencies seeking representation for my memoir Nightfall in Verona. Not really.  Friday 12/10– I received a lovely, low-key e-mail  from a high profile agency asking for the whole mss.  Now I know that my query letter has some appeal.  This does not guarantee representation– it just signifies interest.  Thanks to all for help and encouragement!
